Year review

With the new year’s final approach, let have a glance at the year 2016. Which was full of active action conducted by the Federal Bureau of Revenue of Pakistan. With a lot of changes to policies and revisions made to the existing laws. The biggest hit was on the real estate market. For which the government revised the tax policies. The start of the 2016 seemed promising but soon after the revised policies were introduced, the growth in market seemed to slow down. But a middle ground was reached between the government when the government introduced a tax amnesty scheme for the real estate sector that allowed property owners to legalize their properties by paying just 3% tax on the difference between the valuations.
A lot happened in previous year to be covered in just one article. From individuals and businesses who were non tax payers were brought to court by the authorities. Still there is a tax gap in the Pakistan’s economy. So, it can be expected that year 2017 will be following the same suit. With more rigorous action by the National Accountability Bureau and by the Federal Bureau of Revenue. For this reason, your business might be in need to consultancy from professionals to guide your business to secure the future.
